Recovery Centers

• Columbia County Pathways to Recovery – CCPR is an RCO (Recovery Community Organization) and is made up of individuals who are in recovery from addiction, families and friends impacted by addiction, families who have lost a loved one to addiction, and friends and allies in the larger Columbia County community. CCPR also offers a center for individuals to attend meetings and engage in social, healthy activities.
• Apogee Center in Hudson and Water Street Studio in Catskill are our local recovery centers.

Youth Clubhouses

The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties, Inc. operates two youth clubhouses–one in Columbia County (Hudson) and one in Greene (Catskill). The clubhouses provide safe, supportive, substance-free environments for youth ages 12- 21 who are in recovery or are at risk of developing a substance use disorder. Recovery Organizations

Participation in a peer-led organization, such as Young People in Recovery (YPR) or Friends of Recovery-New York (FOR-NY), can have a tremendous impact on an individual’s recovery. Leaders and members are in recovery themselves and are familiar with the challenges unique to substance use disorder.

• Hudson Valley Young People in AA – HVYPAA is a service committee of young people in AA. HVYPAA hosts events to teach people to have fun in sobriety. HVYPAA’s mission is to spread the message of hope, recovery, and unity to alcoholics throughout the region. HVYPAA’s members learn and grow in their recovery through their involvement in service.
• Friends of Recovery – NY (FOR- NY) – A peer-led recovery group of NYS residents who are in long-term recovery from addiction, as well as their families, friends and allies. FOR-NY actively seeks to advance public policies and practices that promote and support recovery.
• Mountain Top Cares Coalition -MTCC is an RCO (Recovery Community Organization) serving people with substance use disorders and issues of addiction in the mountain top communities of Greene County New York. Our mission is to promote recovery and empower those we serve and their families through advocacy, referrals, education, and peer support.

State Operated (Inpatient) Addiction Treatment Centers (ATC’s): A list that includes Admission Criteria and a full list of 12 ATC’s, including their address, a list/link to catchment area map and contact info.

OASAS Regional Field Office Staff: A directory of 11 OASAS Field Staff Offices, including contact information and address, to direct you to local treatment options.

NYS OASAS HOPELINE: 877-8HOPE-NY | (877)-846-7369: A helpline offering help and hope 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for alcoholism, drug abuse and problem gambling. All calls are toll-free, anonymous and confidential.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA): SAMHSA is a free and confidential helpline that offers support 24/7, 365 days a year. Those with an addiction (or their friends and family) can receive treatment referrals and information regarding addiction and recovery services, even for those with no health insurance.
